Mysto Fox

I was tweaking this logo recently as my 4 year-old daughter caught a glimpse of my computer screen. She exclaimed, “Ahh! I know who that is.” I replied with a surprised, “You do? … Who is that?” She said, “That’s Mysto Fox.”

So, I’m pleased to introduce to you the official mascot of Fox Design Company, “Mysto Fox.

Hmm, haven’t I seen that before?

The Spirit of EcstasyWhen we were doing Art Deco era visual research for Elizabeth Boyd’s brand identity we came across this rare, original, casting of Charles Sykes’ “Spirit of Ecstasy.” Also known as the “Flying Lady,” you probably know her best as the mascot for Rolls Royce automobiles. Not that I’ll ever own or even drive a Rolls, but their commitment to quality and legend is admirable, as symbolized by the iconic statue they’ve built their brand on.

Pillow DoNuts Sign

Bellbrook Industrial Park window signs

Nothing too special, but here are a few signs I did for the CB Richard Ellis property, Bellbrook Industrial Park. This project is a great testimony to the power of good brand planning and standardization—by Looney Ricks Kiss Architects (LRK). LRK also spruced up the exterior, and boy did it need it, and developed a clean, representative color system for wayfinding around the park.

Discovery Stories.

One thing I love about the south is the stories. Maybe southerners have a little more time to think about creatively communicating details or maybe it’s just in the water. But where I come from and where I live now, there is certainly no lack of “creative” storytelling. History plays a big part of those stories, and we’re glad to incorporate that culture of historical storytelling into our creative process. We want to feature some of the great stories we come across and some of the history we uncover on SlyBrand. The Discovery Stories category is where it’s at.
