From the movie Paris, je t’aime.
Since we first laid eyes on you, you had already picked us out and wanted so badly to be taken home. So that’s exactly where we took you. From your first flower-bed of a home, to your new life with us, you were ours—and we were yours.
Your oversized ears were always up as you sat in the Sphinx position, listening for the next “wanna ride in the CAR?” or for the sound of a goldfish cracker lightly hitting the floor. There was something distinct about you. And while that difference is still a mystery, I think it had something to do with how observant you were. And how truly transparent you were. It was almost like we could know exactly what was on your mind. We saw the wheels turning, and strangely, we related to your doggie-thoughts as you quietly watched us.
You knew that we wanted you with us. Despite being the 98 year-old virgin, you never ran away.
You noticed the subtleties of our world, at just the time we needed it—and you lived well.
